Experienced industry sales veterans join Augmentix to increase growth and market share

(Austin, TX) – December 5, 2005 - Augmentix, a provider of mission critical solutions for rugged environments, today announced Jim Sauer has joined the company as the vice president of sales and Pete Aviles has joined as the director of military sales.

Sauer recently served as vice president of sales for Dell, Inc. where he was responsible for generating $900 million in revenue from 50 of the largest Global accounts, including GE, Exxon-Mobil, UTC, General Dynamics, Dupont, EDS and Siemens. Previously, Sauer led the sales team at Dell, which launched enterprise products into the public sector. During his tenure, sales grew to $700 million and included winning multi-million dollar contracts with the US Navy, US Air Force, EPA, Cornell University, State of New York, State of Florida and New York Public Schools. Prior to joining Dell, Sauer served over 11 years with Compaq Computer in numerous sales and management positions. Jeff Browning, Recruiting Partner with Austin Ventures, introduced Sauer to Augmentix.

Aviles previously worked for the Technology Advancement Group, Inc. (TAG) as a regional director and was responsible for growing the company's presence and increasing sales in the Western and Pacific regions, specifically with the Department of Defense, Government Contractors Homeland Security and SPAWAR System Center San Diego. Prior to TAG, Aviles was the Southern region business development manager for Worldcom where he focused on improving overall operations, sales and marketing efforts and winning and maintaining company contracts with military clients including the Department of Defense, Government Contractors and NMCI.
