Regulatory Compliance Engineer - Austin, TX Office
As part of the Test Department, perform activities necessary to ensure Augmentix's compliance with regulatory laws and requirements pertaining to various governmental or industry regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring, interpreting, and implementing worldwide laws and directives with regard to regulatory compliance of industrial, military, and consumer electronics products such as ruggedized Servers, Notebooks, and Accessories.
- Implementing, monitoring, and interpreting product requirements testing with regard to shock and vibration, thermals, humidity, altitude, water ingress, and salt fog.
- Interfacing with various suppliers, providers or vendors, along with industry and manufacturing partners to ensure product regulatory compliance.
- Producing required legal or regulatory reports or data (both internal and external), as well as maintenance of associated records.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of regulatory compliance processes pertaining to industrial, military, and consumer electronics such as Servers, Notebooks and Accessories.
- Working knowledge of regulatory compliance processes involving regulatory bodies/standards such as UL, TUV, CE mark, CB-Scheme, CTIA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Wireless Broadband, and FCC.
- Experience with ESD, EMC and EMI testing (emissions and immunity) preferably on the design level. Ability to review designs and offer suggestions for improvements.
- Experience with MIL Standards, specifically 810F, shock and vibration, thermal, and altitude testing.
- Ability to generate and review regulatory compliance test plans.
- Ability to manage teams (globally) along with various international laboratories involved in compliance testing.
- Ability to influence cross-functional groups.
- Able to travel internationally up to 15% of the time.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, and tactical execution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and influence cross-functionally among both internal and external organizations.
- Minimum five years experience with implementation of regulatory compliance with three years experience at industrial, military, or consumer electronics companies.
- Familiarity with computer architecture, PC architecture and PC server architecture.
- Ability to identify potential product weaknesses and be able to provide design guidance and recommendations for improvements to subsequent redesigns.
- Detail-oriented with attention to product quality.
- Excellent problem solving and analysis skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects, set priorities and work independently under aggressive timelines.
- Ability to work under date-driven schedules.

- Ability to write and analyze requirements, functional specifications, design specifications, test plans, and documentation.
Education:
B.S. degree in a relevant field desired, or other relevant education or equivalent experience.
